Do I need my own Discord bot?
Yes — and that is by design. BastionCord never asks you to add a shared platform bot. You create your own Discord Application, connect it through the setup wizard, and its token stays encrypted and scoped to your account.
What exactly does a backup contain?
The structure the Discord API exposes to bots: channels and categories, roles and their hierarchy, permissions and overwrites, and supported server settings. Messages and member data are not included.
Are security checks on by default?
No. Every security check — IP lookups, VPN and proxy detection, approximate geolocation, email collection — is off until you enable it per server, and members are told before anything is processed.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Plan limits apply from the moment you switch, and your servers, backups and settings stay exactly where they are.
