Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BastionCord. Please read them alongside the privacy policy.

1. The service

BastionCord provides Discord server management tools: member verification, server structure backups and restore, configurable security checks, and an opt-in member recovery flow. All Discord interactions run through a Discord Application that you create and own; BastionCord operates no shared platform bot.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity carried out under your account. Notify the operator promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. One person or organisation may not use another party’s account without permission.

3. Your Discord credentials

You supply your own bot token and OAuth2 client secret. BastionCord encrypts them at rest and uses them solely to operate the features you have enabled on the servers you have registered. You remain the owner of the Discord Application, and revoking or rotating its credentials in the Discord Developer Portal immediately ends that access.

4. Acceptable use

You must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Developer Policy, and with applicable law. You may not use the service to harvest data without a lawful basis, to gain access to servers you are not authorised to manage, to circumvent Discord’s rate limits or protections, or to harass, deceive or defraud anyone. You must have the authority to manage every server you register.

5. Consent and disclosure

Verification flows request Discord scopes through Discord’s own consent screen. Where you enable optional security checks or member recovery, you are responsible for the disclosures shown to your members remaining accurate, and for using the collected data only for the protection of your community. BastionCord will not silently expand what is collected on your behalf.

6. Backups and restore

Backups cover the server structure the Discord API exposes to bots. They do not include messages or member content. Restoring a backup modifies the target server, and you are responsible for reviewing a restore before confirming it. Retention limits depend on your plan, and backups beyond the limit are removed automatically.

7. Plans and billing

Free plan features are available without payment. Where paid plans are offered, charges are billed in advance for the stated period and plan limits apply from the moment a plan takes effect. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the paid period.

8. Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It depends on Discord’s API, which may change, rate-limit or become unavailable outside the operator’s control. No uptime guarantee is made unless separately agreed in writing.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, servers, revenue or goodwill arising from use of the service. Backups reduce risk but are not a substitute for your own record-keeping.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard, which removes your servers, bots and stored credentials. The operator may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, that put other users at risk, or that are required to be removed by law or by Discord.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
